My goodness! I don’t know where to start – it was such a busy session this morning (17th July).
11 of us at various times throughout the meeting with some dipping in and out and others having to leave early – it was hard to keep track of all the goings on 🙂
We chatted about knitting projects, about lockdown and how the easements are affecting us, about masks which will soon be mandatory in shops and various other things. Linda showed us a mask she’s made from a pattern she’d found on the internet – very nice.
Towards the end, I asked: ‘What have you done during lockdown that you either haven’t done before or haven’t done for a long time?’. Perveen said she’s returned to cycling and Jayne said that she’d taken up walking. She’s found many places nearby that she never knew about and has enjoyed a substantial weight loss as well as the activity itself. Well, that started quite a conversation about the benefits of walking and how hard and boring it is to walk alone. As a result, we’ve set up a WhatsApp group and when anyone wants to have company on a walk they’re planning, they’ll be able to give a shout out to see if there are others who want to come too. It should work particularly well when a walk is spontaneous and unplanned – we all live fairly close to each other.
OK. I’ve found one walking boot, but where’s the other one??
This looks an interesting website…….inspiration, anyone? https://www.artoffacemasks.com/masks.html

These are great! I wonder if we’ll see similar artistic designs in daily use locally?
