Spring has sprung

And so has a leak in the park! There’s a leaking underground water pipe in the park just outside the pavilion. It’s awaiting repair by the council but, in the meantime, the birds are having a whale of a time in the puddle the leak has created.

Our knitters have been very busy. Nimble fingers have dashed up and down needles and hooks turning yarn into beautiful garments and accessories.

Linda, otherwise known as the queen of shawls, blankets and co-ordination, has also been busy. Why ‘queen of co-ordination’? Well, not only does she come smartly dressed when some of us (by some, I mean me!) look like we’ve turned up in our gardening clobber, but what she wears almost always matches what she’s knitting. Here are a couple of blankets that Linda made recently:

Yes, Linda is holding up and hiding behind this huge blanket but then again, she could be wearing a matching striped outfit which would make her indiscernible.
